We welcome both the sewing hobbyist and professional. A wide variety of topics might include sewing construction technique, fitting and alterations, sources and advice regarding machines, notions and fabrics, sewing project ideas, plus hopefully lots of inspiration and encouragement. Please note that discussions of needle and yarn arts, quilting, general fashion, crafting and machine embroidery are served on other lists and are generally not topical on JUST SEW. The list is provided by Quiltropolis and hosted and owned by Julie Davis.

Sew-up Groups is for anyone in towns, communities, cities, etc. wanting to have a group of people get together for a time of sewing. All skill levels, all ages, all types of sewing are welcome to join in. We want to have a rebirth of sewing through out the world. This mail list will help us share ideas of what to sew, where to meet, how often to meet, whatever we need to discuss to find time to sew with friends and those who we've yet to meet. Each individual group will need someone to co-ordinate the group for their area. We can post here of meetings from all over the world and help with sewing questions. When posting put the community name in the subject. The first group was formed in Evansville, IN April 2005 with 3 members. There are no dues or fees. We met in a classroom provided to us by a local fabric store, but you could meet at a Community Center, Church, individual homes, etc.

Is for those of us who sew for our children, grandchildren, neices, nephews, neighbors, or any children in our lives - just for fun. We can all be an encouragement and inspiration to each other as we share helpful sewing tips, pattern suggestions, and ideas.

Is a list to help members sew for themselves. The members of the Sew4Me list encourage each other with tips, hints, basic fitting and favorite patterns.

SewCouture is a hand moderated, 100% on topic, fashion and garment sewing list consisting of a large group of people who either sew for pleasure or work professionally in one of the many areas of the sewing and/or fashion industry. We put our heads together to do a lot of problem solving and work on design and fitting challenges. We discuss fitting, draping, designing, patternmaking, fabrics, techniques, design details and features, tailoring, education, sources, and related equipment and topics. SewCouture is owned and maintained by Julie, www.wallacedavis.com
